Shuttle Service
Friday, February 1st, 2008
Many KCBT members may not be aware of our shuttle bus service. Teams of volunteers graciously miss morning services one Sunday each month, opting to drive members and guests from the upper parking lot near the ballpark down to our main facility. They also assist during large events, such as the upcoming Live the Great Adventure Bible Conference.
These dedicated men and women arrive early to prepare the vehicles for passengers and remain on duty throughout our morning services. Shuttle service begins at 8:30am and continues non-stop until almost 1:00pm. You can catch the shuttle just south of the Resource Center Bookstore and between the islands in the ballpark parking lot. Three vehicles run most Sundays; this minimizes the time passengers wait to catch a ride.
The unpredictability of mid-western weather makes this service of great benefit! When the weather is nice many members and guests choose to walk to our building. When the weather changes to rain, bitter cold, or stifling summer heat the shuttles allow you to arrive at services dry and comfortable. Our vehicles are nearly new, with good heaters and air conditioners.
The upper lot has plenty of spaces available. By choosing to park in the upper lot and riding the shuttle, we open additional lower level spots to KCBT guests. What a great way to make our guests feel more welcome and at home in our facility! Try the shuttle for a week – you just might like it.
